Ingredients


Makes: 10 –12 4’’ (10 cm) pancakes
  • 1 Tbsp (15 ml) Apple Pie Spice, or Epicure's Spices for Fruit Crumble
  • 2 Tbsp (30 ml) oatmeal
  • 1 Homemade Mix and Pancakes
  • 1 Tbsp (15 ml) butter
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced
  • 1 pear, thinly sliced
  • 1 Tbsp (15 ml) brown sugar
  • juice of 1/2 small lemon

Preparation


 
  • Fold Apple Pie Spice and oatmeal into Homemade Pancake batter.
  • Cook according to Homemade Mix and Pancakes recipe directions. Keep warm in a low oven.
  • In Fry Pan, melt butter, then add apple, pear, sugar, and lemon juice. Sauté for approximately 5 minutes, then spoon over pancakes.

Tip


 

Chef Tip: Top with a dollop of low-fat vanilla or plain yogurt for an extra kick of creamy tartness.
